Talk Like This… turns your stories into surprise performances — with secret twists that nobody sees coming! One card changes everything.
What is one of the benefits of the game?
It Boosts Creativity! (Whether You Like It Or Not)
The Talk Like This... card game forces your brain to connect completely unrelated ideas — like becoming part cat, meowing and then talking about an old bullying crisis from middle school— into a coherent narrative. Science calls this "divergent thinking." Your friends call it "Hilarious Storytelling!"
Will playing the game help deepen my relationships?
Absolutely! We have found that the game will strengthens Social Bonds (Even With People You Weren't Sure You Liked.)
Shared laughter is one of the fastest ways humans connect. And nothing bonds a group faster than collectively deciding that Dave's story about a time-traveling one-eyed cat was somehow the most emotionally moving thing anyone has ever heard.
Do you need to be a good talker to be good at the game?
No. But playing the game seems to improve Communication Skills (Even for People Who Claim They're "Bad at Talking")
Nothing sharpens your ability to express yourself quite like having 30 seconds to explain why a haunted toaster, from your childhood, is the true villain of your story. Suddenly, the person who "doesn't like public speaking" is delivering a dramatic monologue that deserves a standing ovation.
How long does the game take?
It all depends on how many people you have playing and how long the stories are. For two to three-person game it will usually take between 20-30 minutes. But people playing can stay engaged for much longer. We have not ever seen someone mid-game whisper, "Actually, can we just watch TV instead?" and mean it.
